When Buying a Painting, Are You Paying For The Paint or The Artist?

Dermal Fillers at White Rock Skin & Laser Clinic

This was a question posed to our team at the Cynosure Master Series event. What a fantastic question. Sure, it could be argued that technically you’re paying for the paint but the painting is worthless without the talent, skill, ability and time the ARTIST put into it and the beauty they are able to create.

Why is this question showing up on the White Rock Skin and Laser Clinic blog? Because it relates greatly to dermal fillers. The question we get asked all the time is, “How much do you charge for a full syringe of Juvederm?”. What you want to research when looking for fillers is “How much experience does the injector have?” or “Do your injectors attend up-to-date training sessions to learn the newest and best techniques?” or “Is your injector a licensed physician?”. It is the ability and experience of the injector and their eye for beauty that you want to focus on. After all, this is you! You want and deserve the best.

Of course, the quality of the paint, or in this case dermal fillers, is extremely important. We recommend that when doing your research, you ensure the clinic uses Health Canada approved filler products such as Restylane, Juvederm or Teosyal. Safety is always of the utmost importance.

Please remember to consider more than just cost when making such a big decision. This isn’t just about beauty; there are risks involved and you want to be sure you are minimizing them by being in clean, safe environment with a well-trained professional.

The best thing to do is come for a consultation and speak with our experienced consultant and physician. Our team can discuss your areas of concern and develop a personalized treatment plan to address these issues and the cost of the treatment at that time. Then you can feel comfortable and confident in the team you’ve chosen.
